WAR AGAINST APATHY

A for Apathy

A for advancement, A for aesthetics, A for accountability, A for admiration, A for affection, A for ardour; amongst these pleasant A’s, why do we tend to fix our brains on the unpleasant ‘A for Apathy’?

You see him spitting on the street opposite the ‘keep clean’ sign, you experience inquisitiveness, and pay no heed to it; you walk away. You see her working hard, struggling to meet the ends, beaten by her husband, you feel the rage, you do what is the sacred duty of current populace, ignore and move on! You see a student, standing facing ‘no smoking’ sign, smoking away to glory; looking at the no parking board and that’s where his car finds its way, you know it is off beam, but who cares? You see an employee, working for Xyz Company manufacturing eco friendly products, dumping plastic bags in front of that very structure; hypocrisy it is! But why bother?

If this nonchalance persists, you will locate many reasons to walk away, but none to make things work. You sit in your nice, cosy, huge house and step in a politician’s shoe, playing the blame-game of what the country has become; but you don’t want to be the change!

Festocomm’s war against apathy is a revolution, a drive, a rebellion to support the anthem of care, concern and cause. This February learn to battle the mantra of “I can kill my lifetime without feeling anything, but skin!” and get rid of “I don’t know, I don’t care and I don’t give a damn!”; this February learn to “be the change!”.
